Welcome to my psychology practice! I tailor therapy to your unique needs using approaches like Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavioral therapy skills. Collaborating with expert dieticians and psychiatrists, I ensure a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach for your optimal well-being. Let's embark on a journey to enhance your mental and emotional health together.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive behavioral therapy is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on changing thinking patterns. The way we think impacts the way we feel and act, cognitive restructuring is a key element of breaking dysfunctional patterns. When we change our thinking, we can change the patterns that keep us stuck.
Schema Therapy
Schema therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach centered on identifying and reframing entrenched, early childhood beliefs known as schemas. These belief systems shape individuals' understanding of themselves and the world, influencing thoughts and actions. The therapy aims to uncover maladaptive schemas, understand their origins, and reframe them to align better with reality.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Some individuals feel their emotions more intensely than others do. DBT is uniquely tailored for individuals with intense emotional experiences, offering effective support for those struggling to manage and regulate their emotions. DBT aims to teach healthier coping mechanisms by focusing on four main skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation.
Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness
Mindfulness transforms eating habits by promoting awareness of hunger cues, enhancing the experience of tasting food, and fostering the ability to recognize satiety. It involves a combination of inner wisdom (self-awareness of body and mind responses) and outer wisdom (utilizing nutritional information to meet personal needs and preferences), offering a balanced approach to nourishing our body.
